A Trump doll dreams of a Caribbean vacation in a Cuba transformed into a luxury resort. White beaches, cocktails, the promise of paradise. But when a man with a machete appears in the distance, the dream glitches and through the cracks, images of Cuban campesinos begin to surface, disrupting the fantasy.
Dreaming of a Cuban Holiday is a five-minute speculative film that uses the language of dreams and digital distortion to interrogate the colonial imagination of the Caribbean and the thin membrane between leisure and erasure.
